MOZILLA:  It works for me very well at school. But I keep it constantly updated. You will need to do so as well

 

Microsoft Internet Explorer:  I don't know the status. If you have any problem just switch browser to chrome.

 

iPAD (iIOS 9.0 onwards): Safari works. You may have to delete History and Cookies. If you have a problem first download CHROME on your IoS and try that. After that appeal for help.

 

 

Password is the same as the user id.  It has been reset after the summer vacation.

When you first visit MINDSPARK please first set you user profile.

Update all the fields.

Put your secret password.

What is DA Test ?

DA stands for Direct Assessment. It is an online test that children answer.

The test is based on what the teacher has taught in class and the children's text-books.

The questions are intelligent ones based on the concepts taught. The tests are made by an organisation called Educational Initiatives in Ahmedabad.

Each Test tests for four to five concepts taught in class. Each concept is tested by four to five questions.

The day after the test the teacher conducts a Remediation Class to reinforce or correct and misunderstanding of a concept.

Therefore DA is as much a test of the teacher as it is of the children. Did I teach well?

 

Std 5 & Std 6 will answer four tests in Math and four is science in each term.

Std 7 & Std 8 will answer four tests in Math and Six in science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in each term.

 

PARENTS' ROLE

After every test the question paper and your child's performance is posted on the website.

Parents must access the website and use the paper as best as they can.

Some have the ability to make it fun for their child.

Some parents try and answer the tests. They become the students and their child the teacher.

 

Analyse the WRONG answers. There is lot of learning from that.

 

"I don't have time"  "I don't have Internet" and other excuses.

I am sure you don't expect sympathy from us. We are too busy laughing.

Last year many parents did not access DA results. We feel sorry for those children. Compare those children with others where parents and children made the DA tests a fun way to learn for the whole family.

We can monitor parents' access to the website. We get data and statistics. And we will point it out to you.

What is DA Test ?

DA stands for Direct Assessment. It is an online test that children answer.

The test is based on what the teacher has taught in class and the children's text-books.

The questions are intelligent ones based on the concepts taught. The tests are made by an organisation called Educational Initiatives in Ahmedabad.

Each Test tests for four to five concepts taught in class. Each concept is tested by four to five questions.

The day after the test the teacher conducts a Remediation Class to reinforce or correct and misunderstanding of a concept.

Therefore DA is as much a test of the teacher as it is of the children. Did I teach well?

 

Std 5 & Std 6 will answer four tests in Math and four is science in each term.

Std 7 & Std 8 will answer four tests in Math and Six in science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in each term.

 

PARENTS' ROLE

After every test the question paper and your child's performance is posted on the website.

Parents must access the website and use the paper as best as they can.

Some have the ability to make it fun for their child.

Some parents try and answer the tests. They become the students and their child the teacher.

 

Analyse the WRONG answers. There is lot of learning from that.

 

"I don't have time"  "I don't have Internet" and other excuses.

I am sure you don't expect sympathy from us. We are too busy laughing.

Last year many parents did not access DA results. We feel sorry for those children. Compare those children with others where parents and children made the DA tests a fun way to learn for the whole family.

We can monitor parents' access to the website. We get data and statistics. And we will point it out to you.

What is DA Test ?

DA stands for Direct Assessment. It is an online test that children answer.

The test is based on what the teacher has taught in class and the children's text-books.

The questions are intelligent ones based on the concepts taught. The tests are made by an organisation called Educational Initiatives in Ahmedabad.

Each Test tests for four to five concepts taught in class. Each concept is tested by four to five questions.

The day after the test the teacher conducts a Remediation Class to reinforce or correct and misunderstanding of a concept.

Therefore DA is as much a test of the teacher as it is of the children. Did I teach well?

 

Std 5 & Std 6 will answer four tests in Math and four is science in each term.

Std 7 & Std 8 will answer four tests in Math and Six in science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in each term.

 

PARENTS' ROLE

After every test the question paper and your child's performance is posted on the website.

Parents must access the website and use the paper as best as they can.

Some have the ability to make it fun for their child.

Some parents try and answer the tests. They become the students and their child the teacher.

 

Analyse the WRONG answers. There is lot of learning from that.

 

"I don't have time"  "I don't have Internet" and other excuses.

I am sure you don't expect sympathy from us. We are too busy laughing.

Last year many parents did not access DA results. We feel sorry for those children. Compare those children with others where parents and children made the DA tests a fun way to learn for the whole family.

We can monitor parents' access to the website. We get data and statistics. And we will point it out to you.

School Fees for the year 2016-17

Dear Parents,

Once upon a time a school fee notice was just another notice for parents. Now a notice regarding school fee is no longer a simple process.  Now there are formal procedures and legal requirements to follow. We have been consulting with our attorney, Mr. SK Jain, and taking his advice on fee matters. This is the first time for us.

The law now requires that fee should not be raised every year but once in two years and the increase should be limited to 15%. The Bombay High Court has allowed Maharashtra schools to raise the fee this year by 15% (for the year 2016-17).  There will be no increase next year (2017-18).

Previously our fee increase was about 8% increase. Now a law directs us to increase by 15% and then hold it for two years.

The format of the fee structure is in two parts.

  • School Fee: The first part is the school fee that which goes towards running the school - salaries and administration.
  • Reimbursements: The second part is the fee towards direct expenses for a child. Eg.: Food, Mindspark membership, NIE, Excursion etc etc.

We hope this will give you a better picture of how money is spent in our school.

We intend to debit the first instalment of fee from Axis on Thursday 30th June. We will be obliged to whoever can arrange for the fee with this short notice. For others we will give another week’s time.

We need you to be in step with the school so that we can contact you smoothly at any time.

WYZE is the new APP for communication. It is the avatar of last year’s Genie. We spoke about it in orientation meetings.

 

For new parents: There are three ways to pay the fee:

  1. Direct Debit thru your Axis Bank account (most preferable because it has the least paperwork)
  2. By Demand Draft for the TERM or Year (One instalment is not acceptable)

TERM 1 = Installment 1 & 2,   TERM 2 = Installment 3 & 4

  1. By FeeCounter (over the internet) through Direct Debit from your bank account. We do not recommend payment by Credit Card or Debit Card because the charges are too high.

For the past three or four years we have not charged any late-payment charges because it spoils relationship between the parents and the school.

School Fees for the year 2016-17

 

Dear Parents,

Once upon a time a school fee notice was just another notice for parents. Now a notice regarding school fee is no longer a simple process.  Now there are formal procedures and legal requirements to follow. We have been consulting with our attorney, Mr. SK Jain, and taking his advice on fee matters. This is the first time for us.

The law now requires that fee should not be raised every year but once in two years and the increase should be limited to 15%. The Bombay High Court has allowed Maharashtra schools to raise the fee this year by 15% (for the year 2016-17).  There will be no increase next year (2017-18).

Previously our fee increase was about 8% increase. Now a law directs us to increase by 15% and then hold it for two years.

The format of the fee structure is in two parts.

  • School Fee: The first part is the school fee that which goes towards running the school - salaries and administration.
  • Reimbursements: The second part is the fee towards direct expenses for a child. Eg.: Food, Mindspark membership, NIE, Excursion etc etc.

We hope this will give you a better picture of how money is spent in our school.

We intend to debit the first instalment of fee from Axis on Thursday 30th June. We will be obliged to whoever can arrange for the fee with this short notice. For others we will give another week’s time.

FeeCounter invoices will also be sent during the week.

For new parents: There are three ways to pay the fee:

  1. Direct Debit thru your Axis Bank account (most preferable because it has the least paperwork)
  2. By Demand Draft for the TERM or Year (One instalment is not acceptable)

TERM 1 = Installment 1 & 2,   TERM 2 = Installment 3 & 4

  1. By FeeCounter (over the internet) through Direct Debit from your bank account. We do not recommend payment by Credit Card or Debit Card because the charges are too high.

For the past three or four years we have not charged any late-payment charges because it spoils relationship between the parents and the school.

This letter is regarding the school bus-fee for this year. There is a minor increase over last year which is less than 7%. Nearly all of it will be accounted for by salary increases. Fuel prices are generally steady over last two years and we expect them to stay so over the coming year !! 

Last year we had made a request. Everyone liked it. Quite a few implemented it. So we are it again this year:

Our Duty towards Drivers and Helpers: In return for their service to you and your family, we request you to ensure that

  1. your child does not give them a hard time by screaming and shouting.
  2. that you know your driver’s name.
  3. that you wish him a “Good Morning”: and “Thank You” every day.
  • Payment thru Axis Bank: The debit from your Axis Bank account is planned for 20th August. 
  • Payment through FeeCounter: You will receive an e-mail from Fee Counter.

In case you wish to pay by Demand Draft then you must send the full year’s bus fee (ALL Three installments) by BANK DRAFT or Pay-Order In favour of VIDYA VALLEY SCHOOL. Do not send a cheque.

Temporary Change in School Timings For Sr.KG

Dear Parents,

The Monsoons are very welcome. But with the monsoons have come a few related problems; Traffic congestion on Sus Road and the Vidya Valley School Road.

Another problem is the condition of the village road leading to school. Due to these challenges children are getting delayed in reaching school.

We have approached the Commissioner to help us. This however, will take some time.

To overcome this inconvenience we have decided to change the timings for Senior KG for two months.

The children will be picked up at 9:15 from the regular Bus Stops from Tuesday, 16th August instead of at 8:30. This will help us avoid the Traffic Jam.

Dear Parents of Sr KG,

Yesterday we sent a printed notice that from Tuesday 16th, Sr KG buses will start from the first stop at 9:15 instead of 8:30. Children are getting stuck in office traffic for an hour.

Please feed yr children a proper breakfast before putting on the bus. We will ensure they still get the foods they like best. We will work out the timings appropriate for small children.

This is the first time we are having to do this after 15 years.

The purpose of Open Day is to have parents meet Guardian Tutors and Subject Teachers. Your attendance and participation is absolutely vital if we are to help our children. I need ALL of you to attend so that each group is complete. Each group is like one big family and comprises about 20 to 22 children with the Guardian Tutor at the head of the family.

You, as parents, have an important role to decide how each group will interact and develop in the future.

Please make a note of the following:

  • Schedule for Open Day: Please follow the schedule. Group meetings will start at the scheduled time. (This includes GT Meet and Academic meeting)
  • Children are welcome in the school. But children MUST NOT be in the school building with the parents nor should they be attending the Parent-Teacher meeting.

We will arrange a bus to start at  Pashankar Auto at 7:40. All children should come by their regular school bus and get off at Pashankar Auto. Ajay Sir and another bus will be waiting for them.

Football team should be there with kit, food and water.


Food:  Players should carry Two snacks plus one lunch.

Clothes:

Children will wear one set. Carry an extra T-shirt.
Ajay Sir will give them a new School Colour T-Shirt and Shorts.

Price: Rs 500 for the set. Please send the money to Ajay Sir with the child.

Return Time: We do not know yet. We will inform you on Friday in the day.

What is DA Test ?

DA stands for Direct Assessment. It is an online test that children answer.

The test is based on what the teacher has taught in class and the children's text-books.

The questions are intelligent ones based on the concepts taught. The tests are made by an organisation called Educational Initiatives in Ahmedabad.

Each Test tests for four to five concepts taught in class. Each concept is tested by four to five questions.

The day after the test the teacher conducts a Remediation Class to reinforce or correct and misunderstanding of a concept.

Therefore DA is as much a test of the teacher as it is of the children. Did I teach well?

 

Std 5 & Std 6 will answer four tests in Math and four is science in each term.

Std 7 & Std 8 will answer four tests in Math and Six in science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in each term.

 

PARENTS' ROLE

After every test the question paper and your child's performance is posted on the website.

Parents must access the website and use the paper as best as they can.

Some have the ability to make it fun for their child.

Some parents try and answer the tests. They become the students and their child the teacher.

 

Analyse the WRONG answers. There is lot of learning from that.

 

"I don't have time"  "I don't have Internet" and other excuses.

I am sure you don't expect sympathy from us. We are too busy laughing.

Last year many parents did not access DA results. We feel sorry for those children. Compare those children with others where parents and children made the DA tests a fun way to learn for the whole family.

We can monitor parents' access to the website. We get data and statistics. And we will point it out to you.

After every test the question paper and your child's performance is posted on the website.

Parents must access the website and use the paper as best as they can.

Some have the ability to make it fun for their child.

Some parents try and answer the tests. They become the students and their child the teacher.

 

Analyse the WRONG answers. There is lot of learning from that.

 

"I don't have time"  "I don't have Internet" and other excuses.

I am sure you don't expect sympathy from us. We are too busy laughing.

Last year many parents did not access DA results. We feel sorry for those children. Compare those children with others where parents and children made the DA tests a fun way to learn for the whole family.

We can monitor parents' access to the website. We get data and statistics. And we will point it out to you.
